Group subscriptions can be configured by administrations to send notification messages to group of users or, for some publishers, to a general area such as room or channel.
For example, you may want to create a subscription that notifies all Administrators via private message when something has been added to the Continua Event Log.
Creating and Editing Subscriptions
Group
Members of the group will receive the notification, provided that they have specified an email or XMPP address, and so long as they don't have a user-level subscription for the same notification type.
Source
The entity that the notification is about. The notifications types available depend on the type of the source that you select.
Notification Types
The types of notification you wish to receive. You may select multiple types.
Publisher
The method that is used to send the notification: Email, XMPP or Private Message. You may need to configure the Publishers before they can be used.
Group and User subscriptions
Subscriptions for groups can be created in the Administration area. Users can also create their own subscriptions in their User Profile. User-level subscriptions for the same notification type will override group-level subscriptions.
