Notification Publishers define how a notification can be notifications are sent to users. Continua has 3 CI includes a set of publisher types: Email, XMPP Email, HipChat, Mattermost, Slack, Stride, XMPP and private message.
Administrators can configure publisher settings on the Publishers page in the Administration area.
To receive email notifications, users will need to have an email address set on their user profile. An administrator will also need to configure the Email publisher:
Depending on the user's preference, they will receive either the email in either HTML or plain text.
XMPP
XMPP is an open communications standard, supported by public chat services such as Google Talk and Jabber.org. Many companies run internal XMPP-compatible servers. And administrator will need to configure the XMPP publisher:
To receive XMPP notifications, users will need to have an XMPP Id set on their user profile.
This shows a list of the publishers that you have configured. Metrics are shown next to each publisher giving statistical details on the throughput of its messages.
Default publishers are already added for Email and XMPP. You can edit these using the 'Edit' button and/or add new publishers of these or other types using the 'Create' button.
